Google Business Profile Suspended

Google Business Profile suspended? Here is what it means

Profile suspended overnight? Calls stop the same day. KM Results works out why Google suspended your listing, fixes the cause (address, name, category or duplicate issues) and files a clean reinstatement request with the evidence Google expects. We handle the process start to finish, so you are not left guessing or waiting on Google support. Once you are live again, we tighten up the profile so it does not happen twice.

A suspension means Google believes your profile breaks its guidelines for representing a business. Sometimes it is right. Often it is an automated flag triggered by something small. Either way, the fix starts with understanding exactly what tripped it.

Common reasons profiles get suspended

• Keywords or locations added to the business name
• A virtual office, PO box or address you do not actually work from
• Showing an address when you serve customers at their location
• Duplicate profiles for the same business
• Several big edits made at once, such as name, address and category
• A website that does not match the details on the profile

What not to do

Do not delete the profile and start again. You lose your reviews and history, and a new profile at the same address can be flagged too. Do not keep making edits in the hope it fixes itself. And do not file a reinstatement request until the cause has been fixed, because a rejected request makes the next one harder.

How reinstatement works

Fix the cause first

Bring the profile into line with Google's guidelines. That usually means using your real business name, a genuine address or service area, and matching details on your website.

Gather your evidence

Google commonly asks for proof such as photos of signage, a business registration document or a utility bill showing the business name and address. Clear, consistent evidence speeds things up.

Submit one clean appeal

File the reinstatement request through Google's official process, with everything attached and nothing left for them to question.

Reinstatement can take anything from a few days to several weeks, depending on the case and how clean the evidence is. Every day offline is a day of missed calls, which is why getting the first request right matters so much. Rushed appeals with missing proof are the main reason businesses stay suspended longer than they need to.

Get reinstated, then get ahead

Coming back from a suspension is the perfect moment to rebuild the profile properly. The fastest, safest fix is to have KM Results handle the reinstatement, clean up your Google Business Profile and then push your listing into the Top 3 through our Google Maps ranking service, so you come back stronger than before.
